Serving Austin, Central Texas, and El Paso
Our Resident Benefits Program (RBP) has you covered with renters insurance. You do not need to purchase renters insurance elsewhere, or do anything else unless you elect to purchase your own third-party renters insurance policy.
If you elect to purchase your own third-party renters insurance policy, you must submit the third-party policy to Second Nature for approval to have your monthly Resident Benefits Package (RBP) charge reduced by $11.95:
Step 1: Review Policy Requirements Before Submitting
Before submitting a third-party renters insurance policy, double check that it meets all necessary requirements. This helps ensure the policy is approved on the first attempt and avoids delays in processing. If your third-party policy does not include any of the listed requirements, you will need to contact your insurance carrier directly to have them added.
Please be sure that your third-party policy meets the following criteria before submitting:
Step 2: Submit Your Third-Party Policy
Once the third-party policy meets all the required criteria, please submit it using the following link:
When completing the submission form, be sure to select Rental Success from the Property Management Company dropdown. This ensures the third-party policy is correctly associated with your account and processed without delay.
Step 3: Confirmation of Submission & Review
You will receive a confirmation email once you submit your third-party policy through the link provided in Step 2. It will take Second Nature three to five business days to review your third-party policy.
Step 4: Third-Party Policy Approval or Rejection
If your third-party policy is approved, skip to Step 6.
If your third-party policy is denied, you will receive a denial email outlining why your third-party policy was denied and what steps to take before re-submitting the third-party policy for approval.
Common Denial Reasons:
Step 5: Correct & Resubmit Third-Party Policy
Your third-party policy was denied, but don’t worry. It just needs a quick update!
Carefully review the denial email to identify the specific issue. You will need to contact your insurance carrier directly to have them make the necessary corrections. Once the third-party policy has been updated, resubmit it by following Step 2. When completing the submission form, be sure to select Rental Success from the Property Management Company dropdown.
Once resubmitted, the review process will begin again. It will take Second Nature three to five business days to review your third-party policy.
Step 6: Third-Party Policy Approval!
Once your third-party policy is approved, you’ll receive a confirmation email letting you know.
Second Nature will automatically notify the Rental Success team and reduce your Resident Benefits Package charge on your behalf. You’ll see this adjustment reflected on next month’s RBP charge. No need to take any further action!
